Is the Warden/Eglinton area dangerous or getting to/leaving from there by transit to downtown dangerous anytime... even as late as 9pm or so?

Thanks

You take a chance anywhere you go no matter what the city. I used to work in the Warden/Eglinton area and it was fine.

I have a friend who lives at Waren/Eglinton. Even from residents there i have heard that it's an unsafe area with shootings and crime. I wouldn't say it's too bad though. Just be careful if you live near the run-down buildings, i don't trust those places!

Pretty much any part of Scarborough, toronto can be dangerous late at night. Transit should be safe though, but i wouldn't take my time walking if i were you!

Warden and Eglinton is really safe - I lived in that neighbourhood for many years, recently moved about 2 years back.

Unsafe parts are more in the heart of Scarborough - Malvern area is really unsafe, McCowan/Eglinton isn't good either, Markham/Lawrence isn't good either, Galloway/Lawrence is really bad, Kingston Rd and Lawrence is really unsafe too (I had a house in that area and it's SCARY)...

Anyways, hope this helps - I think at any point when the sun goes down you have to be more diligent than normal, but Warden/Eglinton is pretty good.
