Depends what kind of food you like, obviously, but here are some of the best:

Riz (pronounced 'rice') on mt. Pleasant- AMAZING pan-asian food. Approx $60-$120 for 2 including wine. They have a dinner and lunch menu.

Le Paradis- very authentic french bistro tucked away from all the noise. Incredible yet simple food. Dinner for two with wine approx. $70-90

Chez Jacques on Cumberland in Yorkville. Tiny french restaurant on third floor. Owner is there 24/7. Simple dishes- best tarte aux framboises in Canada- hands down! Dinner for 2 with wine approx $80

Bon Appetit!

Canoe and Auberge du Pommier are my favorites, but expensive. On Avenue Road, above Lawrence, my favorite neighborhood Italian place is Trattoria Primavera.
