What is the cheapest way of travelling from Toronto to New York. Can anyone recommend busses/trains?

It wouldn't be the cheapest but you may consider trains, VIA and Amtrak.

Hi. What you may want to consider is taking Greyhound from Toronto to Buffalo, NY ($69 Cdn return). Once you arrive in Buffalo from Toronto, you would take a taxi from the bus station to the airport. From Buffalo Niagara International Airport (this is a different airport from Niagara International Airport) fly with JetBlue to New York City (JFK). This is possibly the least expensive mode of transportation that will get you from Toronto to New York City. I'm an avid traveler and took this route a couple times now after having done some heavy research on the least expensive way of getting there. If you choose this route, make sure that your Greyhound schedule/times don't conflict with your JetBlue schedule, and vice versa. I've provided some links to help you out. Good luck and have fun!
